ACADEMICS

Academic Development

Academic development is a core pillar of the North Carolina Elite Post-Grad Program. Student-athletes receive structured academic support designed to strengthen foundational skills, build disciplined study habits, and prepare for college-level expectations.

Our academic model mirrors the accountability and structure athletes will encounter at the collegiate level.

Study Hall & Academic Support

Athletes participate in daily structured study sessions that reinforce strong academic habits and consistency.

Support includes:

  • Quiet, distraction-free study environments

  • Individual and group study options

  • Accountability for assignments and progress

  • Core subject reinforcement

This structure helps athletes stay organized, focused, and prepared.

SAT / ACT Preparation

SAT and ACT preparation is included at no additional cost as part of the program.

Athletes receive:

  • Weekly guided practice sessions

  • Proven study strategies

  • Progress tracking and accountability

This ensures athletes are prepared to meet college entrance requirements.

Optional College Coursework

Student-athletes may enroll in accredited college courses through partner institutions such as Mitchell Community College, allowing them to gain early college experience.

Program Guidelines

  • Recommended course load: up to 2 courses per semester

  • Maintains NCAA eligibility as a part-time student

  • Families pay only for the courses selected

This option allows athletes to advance academically while remaining focused on basketball development.

Leadership & Character Development

Academic growth at NC Elite Post-Grad extends beyond coursework. Athletes receive intentional training in:

  • Leadership development

  • Communication skills

  • Personal discipline

  • Mental growth and accountability

These components prepare student-athletes for success in college classrooms, locker rooms, and life beyond basketball.
